We have moved all of the Lost and Found items to the middle school foyer. Please encourage students to look through this when they have time. Parents are also welcome to come up and look if you know you are missing something! After the last day of school, all items will be donated.

Today, we watched the Solar Eclipse! Students got to learn about changes in the weather with our new weather stations.
Germantown Hills Middle School is looking to update our weight room at the school. If you or someone you know has any working equipment that they are wanting to get rid of, could you please contact Ryan Davis at davisr@ghills69.com . We are looking for any cardio machines (treadmills, elliptical machines, bikes) and any smaller equipment like dumbbells, Pilates balls, yoga mats, kettlebells, etc..

The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Science teachers at GHMS attended a NGSS training workshop on Wednesday with 25 other Science teachers from the Tri-county area led by Dr. Jeff Spencer at Central District 51 in Washington.
The 8th grade band and chorus students are enjoying a snowy day in Chicago today, including a trip to Giordano's for lunch!
Mark your calendars: GHMS will present Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on May 3rd and 4th at 7pm at Great Oaks Church. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and can be purchased at the door. Hope to see you there!
Today, our Daily Life class completed a social-emotional lesson on teamwork!

GHES also got to enjoy Candice Fleming yesterday as she spoke to the elementary students. She shared with the 3rd and 4th graders her knowledge of giant squid and how that helped to write her book. The first and second graders read Oh, No! Candice had great words of encouragement for our young writers to share their stories with others!
This morning we had the Floor Hockey Championship game. The Mayhem took on the Cyclones. Congratulations to the Cyclones for winning the Championship! Great job to all players for a very exciting game!
Author Candace Fleming joined us today! She gave a really interesting presentation to the middle school about all of her books and the research that went in to writing them.
Today 6th grade science learned about salinity and how it impacts the density of oceans!
Today's GHMS Track & Field Meet at Metamora has been cancelled. There will be practice after school.
