il report card

Last Wednesday, the 2024 Illinois Report Card was released for public viewing.  Germantown Hills Elementary School and Germantown Hills Middle School were given the highest summative designation of EXEMPLARY!  That means both schools were in the top 10% of all schools in Illinois with no underperforming subgroups.  This alone is an amazing accomplishment!

However, in looking through regional and state-wide performance on the 2024 Illinois Assessment of Readiness and the Illinois Science Assessment, there is even more good news!

1) Of the 41 school districts that serve grades 3-8 in Tazewell, Woodford, Peoria and Marshall counties, we had the highest meets/exceeds rate on the 2024 Illinois Assessment of Readiness in both ELA and Math.  Our ELA rate of 80% was eleven points higher than the next district (Dunlap), which had a 69% meets/exceeds.  Our Math meets/exceeds rate of 59% was five points higher than the next district (again Dunlap), which had a 54%.

2) 7th Math, 3rd ELA, 6th ELA, and 7th ELA all had the highest meets/exceeds rate for their grade and discipline in the region, while 4th Math, 5th Math, and 8th ELA all had the second highest meets/exceeds rate in the region.

3) Our 3rd-8th Student Growth Percentile of 60 moved us from 17th in the region in 2023 to tied for 7th, and our
3rd-8th SGP of 62 in ELA moved us from 10th in the region to 3rd.

4) Our 5th grade Science meets/exceeds rate of 90% was tied with Roanoke-Benson for the highest in the region and our 8th grade rate of 87% was fourth in the region and only two points behind Washington 52's highest rate of 89%.

5) Our overall chronic absenteeism rate of 4.5% was the lowest in the region with Washington 51 being the second lowest with a 6.2%.

6)  Looking state-wide, of the 363 elementary districts in Illinois, our
3rd-8th Math meets/exceeds rate was the 28th highest in the state, and our 3rd-8th ELA meets/exceeds rate was 8th!

These amazing accomplishments are reflective of our school district's amazing teachers, support staff, administrators and parents/guardians. This is truly a moment to be proud!
